Alla Schock, M.Ed. – Director of Community Relations

With more than 12 years of experience in hospice, palliative care, and geriatric care management, Alla brings both professional depth and heartfelt compassion to her role as Director of Community Relations at Circle of Life Hospice.

Her path to end-of-life care began in her early twenties, after the sudden death of her brother in a car accident—a loss that changed her understanding of life, death, and purpose. While completing her Master’s in Education in Counseling, Alla met a fellow student completing a hospice internship. As she listened to her describe the profound beauty and humanity of hospice care, something within her stirred. She knew instantly that this was the work she was meant to do.

Since then, Alla has dedicated her career to walking alongside individuals and families through some of life’s most sacred transitions. Her background spans inpatient mental health, oncology, and business development, with advanced training in The Sacred Art of Living and Dying program. She strives to be a compassionate presence, a collaborative leader, and a steady source of light and meaning amid grief and change.

Alla’s commitment to honoring life and service is deeply personal—her grandfather served in the 82nd Airborne, her father in the 7th Infantry, and brother as a Master Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. The loss of her brother awakened in her a lifelong calling to help others find peace, meaning, and connection in the face of loss.

At Circle of Life Hospice, Alla continues to honor each person’s story, believing deeply that how we live—and how we care for one another—shapes how we die.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18
